This is a good usable toothbrush that is simple but effective. I wish they would continue making these basic utility items, not continually add more bells and whistles that are not needed. I had one of these for about ten years before, got this one when the old one died. I look forward to another ten years of good brushing.

The design is attractive and simple, the motor is strong yet quiet, the result is a mouth that feels clean and fresh. Can't say that I've taken advantage of the timer feature, but since it doesn't seem like you're paying extra for it, it couldn't hurt, right? Minor negatives: If you were thinking of giving this as a gift, the see-through plastic packaging takes it down a notch in terms of looking expensive and would be very hard to pry open by, say, your elderly grandma. The little tube of toothpaste it came with was already expired by several months -- a hint that this is an older model. That being said, this plaque remover does the job, and really, the only way you'd end up with a dirty mouth is if you exclaimed, "Holy #%!*, that's one fine toothbrush!"

This was a replacement for my other Braun rechargeable that died. This is a very good toothbrush. I especially like the 2-minute timer.
