I purchased this brush for my daughter. She brushes in the morning and at bedtime. She knows 1 minute for the bottom teeth when the timer stutters she switches to the top teeth and brushes until it stutters again.
She has used this model brush since she was 3 years old. With brushing and a good oral regimen of Plax pre-rinse twice a day and Act fluoride rinse at night my daughter, now six, is cavity free. Her dentist says with brushing for the recommended 2 minutes really helps.
Amazon is now the only place I can find this brush. If you have children under 5 do not let them soak the mechanichal brush base in the sink, as mine did. It shortens the life of the unit. Other than operator abuse :) I have had no problems with the toothbrush.
